Twitter launched three keyword matching options for their promoted tweets advertisers, as well as the ability to use negative keywords. Search marketers will be familiar with the keyword matching options:
- exact match
- phrase match
- keyword match
The negative keywords works like on the other platforms, advertisers can indicate keywords that they don’t want their ads appearing next to in Twitter search results.
I think it is super amazing! I’ve been working on search marketing for many years and as everybody else might also found, keyword matching options helps campaigns work better. The ad will be much more relevant and eventually it will drive a higher quality traffics.
Wait, there are more. Twitter also says it’s going to start automatically matching Promoted Tweets to trending topics and also a new tool for importing keywords from other online advertising platforms, i.e. Google AdWords and Bing Ads.
